2009 TJC scoring changes
bulletin posted on 2009-07-06

The Joint Commission has revised its accreditation requirements to consolidate its requirements to reduce the number and eliminate redundancies from 165 to 87 standards. TJC also changed its scoring process to highlight the more important Standards in its accreditation decisions. Standards are coded with letters and numbers to designate which are mandatory for initial and continued accreditation and which merely require further documentation or consideration. For individual standard designations, please refer to http://www.jointcommission.org/NR/rdonlyres/ C9298DD0-6726-4105-A007-FE2C65F77075/0/CMS_New_Revised _HAP_FINAL_withScoring.pdf.
